I dress like it's autumn during heatwaves. This is my season. We're well into autumn now and embroidery is still a big deal (one of the biggest redeeming factors of 2016 for me tbh) and Stevie Nicks-esque frilled sleeves are everywhere on the high street at the minute, so ticking off two major trends in one piece is total bliss for this lazy piece of ass. Thankfully, the excess material in this Zara blouse doesn't weigh you down, as it's made with lightweight material and ties with a ribbon bow at the back so is loose enough to sit comfortably over your shoulders without shackling your boobs. I matched the subtle tan colours in the embroidery with this suede skirt from Warehouse for extra smart/casual credits.
If somebody tells you they don't wear some kind of hosiery under their trousers during the colder months, they're lying. But layering up doesn't mean losing out on fun details, or packing away your ripped jeans - I wore mine over some spotted tights with sparkly socks for a more subtle nod to the upcoming festivities (I'm already tired of seeing fair isle print on everything).
Black [and gold] Friday: channeling some glam rock with this lightening bolt ring, £1, and studded ring, £3, both in the sales at Topshop.
